Brandon and Melissa | North Louisiana Portrait Photographer | Courtney Winters Photography
Someone say it isn’t so!! My little brother is getting married! Brandon and Melissa have been together for a little while now (am I a terrible sister for not remembering how long they’ve been together?!?) and just before Christmas Brandon told the family he was going to propose. He said that Melissa wanted me to be there when he proposed so we made sure to arrange that! On Christmas Eve after church, the family went our to eat and then came home to open presents. We usually exchange gifts between just the immediate family on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day we exchange gifts with the rest of the family! It just makes Christmas last a little longer.. and if you know me, you know I LOVE Christmas!!
Anyways, to get back to my story…. After everyone had exchanged gifts, Brandon asked Melissa to come outside with him. That was my cue! I got bundled up and headed out the back door. I get around the corner and low and behold, it was a bad angle! There was too much stuff between where they were and where I was hiding. I thought about moving, but the only place I could move to was a wide open spot and I was so afraid she would see me! After he proposed I told them my dilemma and we decided to do a reenactment.
Fast forward about two weeks and here are their engagement pictures! We had planned to do these on a Monday but our normal, not so bad, winter decided to throw us a curve ball and bring in a super cold front! It was only going to be 30 degrees for the high! That may not sound too bad, but to us, it was just not going to happen. So we rescheduled the session for the following Saturday and low and behold, it was almost in the 60s that day! That is so much better than 30!! We even had beautiful sunshine; it was the perfect day!
Congratulations you two!
